KIMBILIO LANGU LYRICS AND TRANSLATION BY ABEDY NGOSSO

(Refrain)
Kimbilio langu ni wewe pekeako,
(you are my only refuge)
Hili ni ombi langu mchana na usiku,
(this is my prayer day and night)
Naja mbele zako yesu nikumbuke,
(I come before you jesus ,remember me)
Nipe furaha moyoni,niseme umetenda,
(fill me with joy,to say you have done)

Verse1
Naja mbele zako baba,         (I come before you father)
Nikumbuke hivi nilivyo,      (remember me)
fanya jambo ndani yangu,   (do something in me)
lisilowezekana ,                      (what seems imposible)

(refrain)

Verse2
Kikombe hiki kizito,                    (the heavy cup)
kinaumiza ,ata kama baba,        (is hurting, even if father)
ni kesho wewe haudanganyi,   (its tomorrow, you don’t lie)

Nimepitia mengi sana,                 (I have gone through a lot)
yamekuwa  mazito mno              (which was too heavy)
lakini leo, naja kwako ,                 (but today I come to you)
uyaondoe haya yote,                     (to take all of away)
roho yangu imechoka,                  (my heart is tired)
haiwezi kuendelea ,                      (I can’t continue)
ninachomba kutoka kwako,       (what I pray from you)
uyavute machozi yangu,             (is to wipe my tears)

Kimbilio langu ni wewe pekeako,
(you are my only refuge)
Hili ni ombi langu mchana na usiku,
(this is my prayer day and night)
Naja mbele zako yesu nikumbuke,
(I come before you jesus ,remember me)
Nipe furaha moyoni,(niseme umetenda x4)
(fill me with joy,to say you have done)

The proper Kiswahili words for "wipe out the tears" should have been "uyafute machozi" instead of " uyavute machozi" which in Kiswahili means " pull the tears" if directly tramslated into English.

Inspite of the above the song is very nice and its a good job by Abeddy Ngosso.

By the way what are the names of The ladies featured with Abeddy Ngosso in "Kimbilio Langu" and in "Salama"
